2. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Cookies: small data files stored in your browser. See section 7 below.

We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 16. We do not collect special categories of personal data unless you voluntarily provide them in the context of a specific search.

  • To comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.

4. Legal bases (EEA / UK)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR / UK GDPR:

  • Consent — where you have provided it, for example by submitting your CV through our website.
  • Performance of a contract — where processing is necessary to deliver the search services we have been engaged to provide.
  • Legitimate interests — where processing is necessary for the proper management of our business, provided your interests and fundamental rights do not override these interests.
  • Legal obligations — where processing is required to comply with a legal duty.

5. California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion of personal information we hold about you, to correct inaccurate personal information, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, please email privacy@meridiantalentgroup.com.

6. Sharing of information

We share personal information only as needed to deliver our services:

  • Clients — with candidate consent, we share candidate profiles with the specific client running a search.
  • Service providers — limited operational vendors such as our hosting provider, email and productivity tools, and applicant-tracking software, all under written confidentiality obligations.
  • Professional advisors — legal, accounting, and insurance advisors, where strictly necessary.
  • Legal compliance — government authorities or courts, where required by law or to protect our rights.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Cookies and tracking

Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for site operation and basic, aggregated analytics. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some site functionality may be affected if you do so.

8. Retention

We keep candidate information for as long as it is relevant to the candidate's professional profile and ongoing search opportunities, and for as long as we have a legitimate business reason to do so. Client engagement records are retained in line with applicable accounting, tax, and contractual requirements. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.

9. International transfers

Our infrastructure is located in the United States. If we transfer personal information from the EEA, UK, or other jurisdictions with cross-border restrictions, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include TLS for data in transit, strict access controls, and limited retention. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your rights and choices

Subject to local law, you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to data portability. EEA / UK residents may lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. California residents may use the rights described above. To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@meridiantalentgroup.com.
